Traditional Sliding Sash Window With Weights and Cords

In a charming historic market town in Northumberland, Richard James embarked on a transformative project that breathed new life into an old property.

The heart of the project lay in the installation of a number of traditional sliding sash windows. Every detail, from the profiles and mouldings to the horns and glazing bars, was painstakingly crafted to replicate the intricate beauty of the past. Operated by cords and weights, these windows achieve a classic effect, evoking the traditional pulley systems found in old houses.

To complete the transformation, a traditional casement bay window was seamlessly integrated into the property’s facade.
